He Calms The Sea
Terror once again strikes the land
Destitution because of natures hand
Reminding us that we are not in control
We must be ready and keep the hope.
Darkness now has enveloped the south
As a nation we must band together to help
Many distraught souls lost in deep despair
Let these people know that we do care.
Many people have opened their homes
Letting the destitute know they're not alone,
Taking in the ones displaced and hurting
Offering of hope and a hand in comforting.
Jesus said feed the hungry help the weary
Rescue the perishing from the dreary.
In as much as you've done it to them,
You have indeed done the same for me.
Let them know there is one who cares
And he is not deaf to your every prayer
He sees your hurts and feels your pain
His arms are outstretched to welcome in.
Lean on Him as He calms the raging sea.
He is the determination in adversity.
He is the peace that calms the storm.
Truly the anchor holds in spite of Katrina.
