Glowing Text On A Path

Eye Candy 3.1


The tube I used is from the art of Mary Engelbreit.
I do not know who made the tube. It was given to me
with no identification mark.

Open you tube in PSP. Resize to no more than 350 pixels in height.

Select a light color from your tube for your foreground box
Use black or a dark color for your background box.
(These colors will depend on the tube you use.)

Open a new transparent image 600 X 350

Flood fill the transparent image with your light color.

Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise
Random and Monochrome Checked at 2 %.

Right click on the title bar of your tube - Copy

Right click on the title bar of your colored image - Paste
As a New Layer.

Move your tube slightly to the left.

Reflection Effects - Feedback with these settings.

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow with these settings.
V & H = 3, Opacity = 100, Blur = 5.00, Color = Black.

Now let's add the text 'on a path.'

Layers - New Raster Layer.

Turn off/ make null your background color.

Click on your pen tool.
Use these settings.

Place your cursor at 300, 100 click once.
move over to 300, 300 click once.
move over to 300, 500 click once.

Right Click on node 1. Node Type Curve After.
Click on the little arrow and pull up to make a hump on your line.

Right Click on node 3. Node Type Curve Before.
Click on the little arrow and pull down to curve downward.

Click on your text tool.
Null your foreground materials box and
Open your background materials box.
Choose Create as: Floating
I used Fiolex Girls font at size 36.
Centered and Bold.
Place your cursor near the center of the line 
until you see the A with a curved line underneath
(the rocking A some call it.)
Type in your text.

Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 3.1 - Glow
and use these settings.

Selections - Select None

In your Layer Palette, click on the Vector 1 Layer
and hit delete on your keyboard.
That takes out the line and leaves the text on the curved path.

In the layer Palette make sure your top layer is highlighted.

Layers - New Raster Layer.
Add your identifying mark.

Layers - Merge - Merge All (flatten)

Export - JPEG Optimizer - compress and save as your header image.

Open a new transparent image 100X 100 pixels.
Flood fill with the light color you used on your header image.
Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise using the
same settings of your header image.

Export - JPEG Optimizer - compress and save as your background image.

Open Letter Creator and create an Incredible IncrediLetter.
