1. Open your subject tube in PSP. Duplicate twice and close the original.
Open your Lace and Bow tubes. Minimize.
Open your mask and minimize it, also.
2. Resize the subject tubes using this setting.

3. Layers - Merge - Merge All (flatten)
4. Effects - Plugins - namesuppressed - Plaid Lite.
Adjust the "Pattern" slide until you find a plaid you like. click ok.
(if you like one section of the plaid more than another, crop out
the section you like.)
5. With your background materials box set to pattern, find the
plaid pattern you just made. Angle = O Size = 100 or your choice.
(If you want a closer pattern decrease the number. A higher
number will make the pattern larger.)
6. Open a transparent image 350 wide x 400. Flood fill with
your plaid pattern.
7. Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image. Find the Mask069
and apply.
8. Layers - Delete - "Yes"
9. Layers - Merge - Merge GROUP.
You may close your mask.
10. Close your pattern or save it as a .jpg to use another time.
11. Edit - Empty Clipboard!!!
12. Open a new transparent image 1024 x 400 for your background.
13. In your materials box. Choose a color from your tube for your
background color. Choose white for your foreground Color.
14. With you background materials box set to gradient,
find your foreground/background gradient in your selections.
Use these settings.

15. Right click on the title bar of your plaid image. Copy
16. Right click on the title bar of your background. Paste. As A New Layer.
Use your mover tool to move the plaid image to the far left side of your
background.
17. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow with these settings.
V=0 H=2 O= 100 Blur =1 Color- black
18. In your layer palette, click on the bottom layer.
19. Restore your lace tube. Image - Rotate - Rotate 90% Left
All Layers checked.
20. Right click on the title bar of the lace tube. Copy
21. Right click on the title bar of your background. Paste. As A New Layer.
Use your mover tool to move the lace into position under the left border.
22. Apply the same drop shadow but change the color to #COCOCO.
Light Gray.
23. Close out your lace tube. Don't save the changes.
24. Click on the top layer of your layer palette.
25. Right click on the title bar of your subject tube image. Copy
26. Right click on the title bar of your background. Paste. As A New Layer
Resize if necessary and move into place on your plaid border.
27. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow and use the default settings.
click on the
at the top of your Drop Shadow window.
28. Layers - Merge - Merge All (flatten).
29. In your materials box, move your gradient to to the foreground
box by click on the arrow to the left of the gradient.
Close/null the white in the background box.
30. Click on your pen tool and use these settings.

31. Click on the top "hole" in your side border mask edge
the click in the second "hole". In your layer palette
right click on Vector 1 and Convert to Raster layer.
32. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow with these settings.
V & H = 1; O = 100; Blur = 1; Color Black *
33. Layers - Duplicate - use your mover tool to move the ribbon
down to the next
two holes until you reach the bottom.
34. Layers - Merge - Merge All (flatten).
35. Edit - Empty Clipboard.
Edit - Command History - Clear.
36. Restore you bow tube.
Image resize to 50 %.
37. Right click on the title bar of your bow tube image. Copy
38. Right click on the title bar of your background. Paste. As A New Layer
39. With your mover tool move the bow in between the ribbons
as shown in the letter example above.
Fill in all the blank spaces with bows, each on a new layer
so you can move them if you need to.
40. When all the bows are placed, click on the eye beside your
background layer to hide it. Make sure one of the other
layers is hightlighted.
41. Layers - Merge - Merge Visible.
42. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow using the same settings.
43. Layers - Merge - Merge All (flatten)
44. To get your bows to work out in LC, you will need to crop the top and
bottom of your background to make it tile correctly. The top of your image
should begin with the bottom 1/2 of a ribbon and the bottom half
should have the top 1/2 of a ribbon. Use you selection tool to select the
part you want to keep. Then go to Image - Crop to selection.
Don't close this out until you have checked the tiling in LC.
45. Layers new raster layer. Affix your mark.
If you would like to add additions things to your border, be
sure to add them all as a new raster layer.
46. Layers - Merge - Merge All (flatten)
47. File - Export - JPEG Optimizer. Compress to your desired size.
Save as a .jpg.
Open Letter Creator and make a pretty Letter.
