Tripolis Frame
This tutorial was inspired by one I
did several years ago. That tutorial is no longer available
on line. I used Dee's Swirl and Tripolis settings for this tut. If you are Dee or know Dee, please
contact me.
PSP 8 and above
Eye Candy 4000
VM Instant Art
A floral graphic and a graphic for inside the frame.
Mine Here
Open a floral graphic and duplicate it twice. If using your own graphic, you need to resize both to300 X300
Minimize one of them.
Promote background to layer on the working graphic.
Effects > Eye Candy 4000 > Swirl > with these settings.

Image > Canvas Size > 600 X 600 pixels with the top left arrow placement
Layers > Duplicate
Image > mirror
Layers> Merge> Merge Visible
Layers > Duplicate
Image > flip
Layers> Merge> Merge Visible
Effects > Plugins > VM Instant Art > Tripolis with these settings.

This is one corner image.
Restore the other flower graphic.
Image > add borders > 12 symmetric in a color from your graphic.
I used a dark purple.
Effects > Inner Bevel > Using these settings

Resize to 250 X 250 or to the size the fits your image.
Copy and paste to the main corner image and move to the lower
right corner.
Image > Merge > Merge Visible
Resize the main corner image to300 X 300
Image > Canvas Size > 600 X 600 using the lower right corner arrow placement
Layers > Duplicate
Image > mirror
Layers> Merge> Merge Visible
Layers > Duplicate
Image > flip
Layers> Merge> Merge Visible
Using your magic want click on the center of your frame.
Selections > Invert >
Effects > Inner Bevel > Using the same settings as before.
Selections > Invert > Do Not DeSelect
Layer > New Raster Layer
Copy your image of choice and paste into selection.
Apply a drop shadow if you desire.
Don't forget to add your mark on a new layer.
Resize as desired. Be sure to use Bicubic Resampling.
Export using the JPEG optimizer and save as header.
Background.
Select a portion of the side of the frame as shown below.

Copy and paste as a new image.
Effects > Image Effects > Seamless tiling> edge and vertical. Let the numbers
set themselves.
Image > Canvas size > set the width to 1024 or 1280 or as you desire.
Set the height to the same height as the current image.
Use the left center arrow placement.
Layers > New Raster Layer >
Layers > Arrange > Send to bottom
Flood fill this layer with a color matching the border.
Add whatever texture or other pattern you desire.
Layers > Merge > Merge All (flatten).
Export using the JEPG optimizer and save as background.
Go to Letter Creator and put your letter together.
