LOtis Quilt

Supplies Needed
PSP - I used PSP9
Letter Creator optional
LOtis Filter (Mosaic Toolkit V2.022) Here
A tube of your choice or mine Here

Install the filter in your filters folder.

Open your tube in PSP. Copy and delete the original.

Choose a light color from your tube for the foreground materials box.
Choose a darker color from your tube for the background materials box.
Choose colors from the same 'family'.
Choose gradient in the background materials box with these settings.
foreground/background, angle 45, repeat 1, invert NOT checked.

Or:
choose a gradient that matches from your gradient folder.

With your tubed image go to >Image> Canvas Size > Width - 1280 

( or the size you use) Height - the height of your tube +50 pixels. 

Use the left middle placement
arrow.

Layers > New Raster Layer.
Layers > Arrange > Send to bottom.
Flood fill this layer with your light color.

Layers > New Raster Layer
Flood fill this layer with your gradient.

Effects > Plugins > LOtis Filter > Mosaic Toolkit v2.022 and use these settings.

In your Layers Palette lower the opacity of this layer 
in order to view your text better.

With your middle layer highlighted - Layers _ Arrange > Merge Down.

In your Layers Palette, highlight the bottom layer

With your selection tool set to custom use these settings:
Top 0, bottom 445 ( or the height of your background.) 
Left 50, Right 300.
You may want to adjust this if you use a different tube. 

Layers > New Raster Layer (this should be a middle layer)

Flood this layer with your dark background color.

Effects > Texture Effects > Texture > Daze 1 with these settings.



Selections > Select none.

With you pen tool set to small dash, width 2 - draw a line from the top
of the textured layer to the bottom about 10 pixels inside that layer.
Convert this layer to a raster layer in your Layers Palette.

Do the same to the other side. 

Close Layer 1 and Rasters 2 and 3
Layers > Merge< Merge Visible

Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tile with these settings:
Edge, Vertical, 50, 50

Effects > 3 D Effects > Drop Shadow with these settings.

Apply the drop shadow again, but change the horizontal to -5. (Minus 5)

In your Layers Palette, highlight the tube layer. (It will be the top layer)

Effects > 3 D Effects > Inner Bevel with these settings.


Effects > 3 D Effects > Drop Shadow as before. 

Layers > New Raster Layer>
Add you mark.

Layers > Merge > Merge All (flatten)

Export through the .JPEG optimizer and save.

Take to Letter Creator and assemble your letter.
