Supplies here
Open your supplies in PSP.
Export the custom brush to your brushes folder.
Open a New transparent image 600 X 450.
In your materials box the foreground color is #7A947A
The background color is #BED2BE
Flood fill the image with your background color
Layer > New Raster Layer
Flood fill this layer with your foreground color.
Layers > New Mask Layer > from image
Locate the cmv_028v000 Mask. OK
Layers > Delete > Yes
Layers > Merge > Merge group.
You may close the mask.
Choose the oldhouse misted tube by Sandy.
Image > mirror
Copy and paste as a new layer on your image.
Move the house to the top right. (see my example)
In the layers palette change the Blend mode to Luminance Legacy
and lower the opacity to 46.
You may close the misted tube.
Select the Vintage 1 tube. Resize 95% using Bicubic resampling.
Copy and paste as a new layer on the image.
In the layer palette change the Blend mode to Luminance Legacy.
Close the tube.
Select the victorienne tube by Stephanie.
Resize to 95% using Bicubic resampling.
Repeat.
Copy and paste as a new layer on the image.
In the layer palette change the Blend mode to Luminance Legacy.
Lower the opacity to 62.
Close the tube.
Layer > New raster layer
Select the paintbrush and find your preciousgift brush.
Set the size to 300. With the paintbrush click 5 times in the same spot.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow
V & H = 1; Opacity = 100; Blur = 0.; Color black.
I lowered the opacity of this layer to 56. Use your own judgment.
Layer > New Raster Layer.
Affix your mark.
Layers > Merge > Merge All (flatten)
Image > Add border > 1 symmetric color black.
Image > Add border > 5 symmetric color the dark foreground color.
Resize using Bicubic resampling to your preferred size for a header.
I try to keep my height to around 400-425 pixels.
Export using the .JPEG optimizer and save.
Make the background you like best.
At this point I was tired so I just opened a 100 X 100
transparent image, flood filled it with the light background
color, add 10% noise with Gaussian and monochrome checked.
Export and save.
Open Letter Creator and create your letter.
This tutorial is just a guide. What you do
with it is your choice. Please do not make changes and then claim it as your
own. It is strictly the results of my playing in PSP and
using techniques I have learn through lessons and experimentation.
