Be My Valentine

Supplies Here Contains:
Tube (kissingkidspresentnm2tinytube)
Tube Valentine elements 
4 backgrounds/patterns

Preparation
Open all the components . 
Duplicate kissingkids tube, and close the original.
Resize to no taller than 400 pixels.
Choose light color from tube for the foreground color (#DA8391 Pink)
Choose contrasting color from tube for the background color. (#B7C1C6 Blue)
Minimize the valentineelementstube to be used later.

The Header
1. Open New transparent image 500X500 pixels.
Flood fill the background with the background color

2. Layer - New Raster Layer 
Flood fill with the foreground color.

3. Choose one of the papers from to kit.
Copy and Paste as a new Layer.

4. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow with these settings
H & V 3; O 50; B 3; Color black

5. Choose another Paper
Copy and Paste as a new Layer.
Image - Rotate- Free Rotate - Right 20%.
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow with these settings
H & V 3; O 50; B 3; Color black

6. Copy and Paste the kids tube as a new layer. 
Use the move tool to place it where you want it.
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow with these settings
H & V 3; O 50; B 3; Color black

7. Copy and paste valentine elements each as a new layer.
Arrange as you like or refer to my example
Give them the same drop shadow as before. 

8. Copy and paste the valentine word art as a new layer.
Or Add your own text as a new layer.

9. Add a new raster layer and add your mark.

10. Layers - Merge - Merge All (flatten)

Background.
1. Open a new transparent image 1280 X 400
Flood fill with the flowerprint pattern Angle 0; Size 100.

2. Layer - New raster layer.

3. Chose the selection tool - custom selection.
with these settings.
top 0; left 0; right 150; bottom 400
Fill the selection with the bluechecked pattern.
I set the size at 50% the angle at 45
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
H=0; V =10; O=50; blur black
Selection - Select none.
Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling using edge and vertical.

4. Layer - New raster layer.

5. Chose the selection tool - custom selection.
with these settings.
top 0; left 0; right 100; bottom 400
Fill the selection with the dotted pattern.
Size 50 % angle 0
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
H=0; V =10; O=50; blur black
Selection - Select none.
Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling using edge and vertical.

6. Add valentine elements as you desire. 

7. Export header and background through .JPEG optimizer and save.

8. Open Letter Create and put it together.
*Hint* Set the margin for Top at 15. This will keep your mailing information
off the picture and make it look better planned.
**Hint** After placing the header, hit enter one time. This will give you
a space between the header and your text. Not so close.
***Hint*** In the footer of your letter, space down one or two times 
so that your information is not crowding the body text.
