Christmas Fun

PSP (I used PSP8, but 9 or 10 should work also.)
Supplies Here

Open your tube and pattern in PSP. Duplicate them and close the originals.
to use another time.

Resize your tube to no more than 350 pixels wide.

If you want to change the color of your pattern tile,
make the tile active and go to Adjust - Hue and
Saturation - Colorize - and adjust the hue and saturation
numbers to get the color you want.

(I chose to leave mine the original color because I like
the way it looks with my tube.)

Pick a light color from your tube or your pattern tile
for your background materials box.

Lets make the background first.

Open a new raster image 1024 wide X the height of your tube
plus (+) 20 pixels.

Flood fill this image with the color in your background materials
box by left clicking on it with your flood fill tool.

Layers - New Raster Layer.

In your foreground materials box, click on the pattern
icon and find your pattern tile. Set the angle to 0
and the scale to 100%.

Flood fill your background raster image with your pattern
by right clicking on it with your flood fill tool.

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless tiling and use
settings similar to the below. The width will largely
depend on your pattern tile. These settings work with
my tile.

Lower the opacity on this layer to 22-28. Make sure you can
read any text that you might use on it.

Layers- Merge - Merge All (flatten).

You may now minimize your background. Don't close the pattern
tile.

Activate your tube. If your tube is close to the edges of the image
resize your tube image by 85%. Make sure Resize all layers is
NOT CHECKED.

Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel- use these settings.

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow and use the default
settings    or your favorite one.
